🍨 YES Odawara Summer School 🍨
この日のテーマは「アイスクリーム」！
アイスクリームをテーマにした塗り絵やワークシート、クラフトなど、さまざまな活動を楽しみました☺️
ランチの後には、自分たちでアイスクリーム作りにも挑戦！
最後は完成したアイスクリームを、みんなでおいしくいただきました。
楽しみながら英語に触れ、夏ならではの体験ができた素敵な一日となりました☀️

The students enjoyed ice cream-themed coloring, worksheets, and crafts.
After lunch, we made our own ice cream and enjoyed eating it together!
It was a wonderful summer day filled with fun English activities and special summer experiences. ☀️

YES小田原では、週に一度、体育館やスイミングプールなどの校外施設を利用しながら、体育の授業を行っています。
思いきり体を動かすだけではありません。自分にチャレンジすること、そして仲間と協力することも大切にしています。友達が挑戦している姿を見ると、自然と「がんばれ！」と応援する声があがり、みんなで励まし合いながら取り組む姿が見られます。
一人の「できた！」をみんなで喜び合う時間は、思いやりや協調性を育む大切な学びのひとつ。
体も心も大きく成長する、YESならではのP.E.の時間です✨

YES小田原の給食をご紹介します！
YESでは、給食は単なるランチタイムではなく、生きた学びの場です。
お父さんやお母さんに手作りスイーツを作ってプレゼントしたいという生徒たちの声からスイーツの調理実習が叶ったこともありました。
シェフからも「こんな食材を使いたいと思っているんだけれど」と話を頂き、授業で先に学びます。
旬の山菜の「苦み」を面白がり、天ぷらになってランチタイムにみんなで頂きました。
「そらまめくんのベッド」の絵本を読み、本物の豆のベッドを確認して味わいました。
採りたてのたけのこをむき、茹でて食べたり、味噌を作り変化を見ました。
梅シロップを作り、ハイキングのあとに味わい喜び合ったことも。
ランチタイムは学びに繋がり、自然の恵みを知る事ができるんです。
シェフとは毎日顔を合わせ、共に食事をして会話をするのでリクエストも叶えてもらい、生徒達の楽しみにも繋がっています。
教師とシェフスタッフがチームとなり、少人数だからこそできる細やかな連携が、生徒たちの「知りたい！」を「体験した！」という自信に変えています。
おいしくて学びにあふれた毎日。
今度はどんなおいしい学びが生まれるでしょうか？
「世界各国の食材を味わう」という英語の授業とのコラボレーションも生まれてきそうです。
