Admissions

~ Before You Begin ~

At YES, we do not view admission as a process based simply on selection or pass/fail decisions.
We believe it is a process in which families and the school communicate openly
and carefully consider together whether YES is truly the right environment for each child.
Please take your time,
ask questions, and consider what is best for your child.

For Families Considering Admission or Transfer

YES Odawara is an international school for elementary-aged children,
where inquiry-based learning is built around three languages:
Japanese, English, and programming.
We welcome inquiries about information sessions, trial enrollment,
short-term enrollment, and more.

    Experiential Assessment
(Experience Regular School Life at YES)

Rather than using a conventional entrance examination, we invite your child to experience everyday school life at YES. Through this experience, both the school and the family can better understand your child's characteristics, ability to work with others, and how they engage in daily school life. We do not conduct written academic entrance examinations in reading, writing, or mathematics.

  • Assessment Result and Confirmation of Enrollment Intent
Assessment Result & Confirmation of Enrollment Intent

We do not consider the assessment to be an examination. Rather, it is an opportunity to determine whether YES is the best environment for your child. We will contact you with the result within one week after the assessment.
Afterward, we will confirm your family's intention to enroll before proceeding with the enrollment procedures. Information regarding the enrollment process will be provided individually by email or other means.
We hope to move forward only when both the family and the school feel confident and comfortable with the decision.

About the Experiential Assessment

The YES assessment is not a conventional entrance examination designed to determine pass or fail or simply measure academic ability.

We do not conduct written academic entrance examinations in reading, writing, or mathematics.

Tuition & Fees

At YES, we believe in being transparent about tuition and fees because we take responsibility for the quality of our education, learning environment, and the people who support our students.
Tuition includes our daily inquiry-based learning, integrated learning across Japanese, English, and programming, project-based learning, and other educational experiences.
We are also happy to explain all fees carefully during an individual consultation.

For Kindergarten-Age Children and Families Considering Transfer
